Sous Chef / Kitchen Manager ($25/hr)

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced, committed Sous Chef / Kitchen Manager to oversee kitchen operations and help bring the owner's vision to life. This is a leadership position responsible for food execution, staff management, compliance, and operations. This position reports directly to the Owner/Chef and is part-time to start with potential to be full-time.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all BOH staff during shifts; ensure timeliness, uniform standards, and professional conduct.
  • Execute owner-designed recipes with consistency and precision.
  • Oversee daily opening/closing kitchen operations and sanitation routines.
  • Uphold California food safety and health code compliance.
  • Lead inventory management: ordering, receiving, food rotation (FIFO), waste tracking.
  • Maintain target food and labor cost percentages.
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff to maintain quality and workflow.
  • Maintain a clean, efficient kitchen and ensure food is prepped and served safely.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years in high-volume restaurant or complex catering environments.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to hold team members accountable.
  • Deep knowledge of inventory control, labor planning, and food safety systems.
  • Must be a pro active problem solver and a strong team player.
  • Professional, humble, and aligned with a shared kitchen vision.

Line / Prep Cook ($19/hr)

Overview:

We’re looking for a driven, reliable Line/Prep Cook to join our fast-paced, high-energy kitchen. This role is perfect for someone who takes pride in preparing fresh food with care, attention to presentation, and a sense of urgency. This position reports to the Sous Chef/Kitchen manager. Part-time to start.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare ingredients and execute menu items with speed, quality, and visual appeal.
  • Inspecting ingredients for freshness and quality before preparation and notifying the kitchen manager before discarding any items.
  • Follow FIFO rotation and maintain safe food storage.
  • Keep prep stations clean and organized; uphold food safety standards.
  • Fill out daily temperature logs and track food waste.
  • Clearly labeling all prepped ingredients with the item name, date of preparation, and any relevant allergens
  • Assist with dishwashing and cleaning duties as needed.
  • Support front-of-house during high-volume periods.
  • Must be able to read and execute a recipe without supervision, including weighing and measuring ingredients to ensure consistency.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with teammates to ensure seamless service and customer order accuracy.
  • Embrace all roles with a team-first mindset.

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 year’s of commercial kitchen experience preferred.
  • Dependable, proactive attitude with strong kitchen work ethic.
  • Basic knife skills required.
  • Willingness to hustle and step in wherever needed.
  • Familiarity with CA food handler regulations (or willingness to learn).

Sales Associate ($16/hr)

Overview:

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, dependable Sales Associate to join our team. This role is equal parts customer-facing hospitality and operational support. The main focus is providing an excellent customer experience. Must work well under pressure and be willing to ask for assistance if needed. Part-time to start.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate the POS system with speed and accuracy.
  • Engage with guests warmly and help create a welcoming environment.
  • Accurately take food and beverage orders paying close attention to special requests, allergies, and dietary restrictions.
  • Be knowledgeable about the menu including ingredients, portion sizes, and daily specials and offer recommendations.
  • Rotate merchandise and food using FIFO principles.
  • Remove expired or unsellable items promptly.
  • Restock to-go items, lemonade, condiments, and packaging.
  • Help maintain a clean and organized front-of-house.
  • Assist in back-of-house tasks when needed (e.g., dishes, restocking, food line).
  • Ensure merchandise displays are tidy, attractive, and accurate.
